WELCOME TO DETROIT CHORAL SOCIETY

Who We Are

Founded on the belief that music has the power to unite and inspire, the Detroit Choral Society brings together singers from across Southeast Michigan who share a passion for artistic excellence and community.

Under the artistic direction of Norah Duncan IV, the chorus presents dynamic performances that span classical masterworks, contemporary compositions, spirituals, jazz-inspired works, and music celebrating diverse cultural traditions.

Through concerts, educational opportunities, and community partnerships, Detroit Choral Society strives to make choral music accessible while enriching lives through the shared experience of singing and performance.

Our mission is to uplift the community through music by promoting artistic excellence, accessibility, education, and diversity in the choral arts.
